Buying a house, selling one, or staring at a new crack? A real foundation inspection with a written finding is how you get a straight answer. Ours are free.
Call (256) 342-9622A foundation inspection is not a glance at a crack. We measure and document: interior and exterior crack patterns and widths, floor level readings across the house, door and window operation, crawl space or slab condition, moisture and drainage around the foundation, and the soil situation on the lot. In the Tennessee Valley that last part matters most, because our expansive red clay is behind the majority of movement we see.
You get a written finding: what is happening, whether it is active or old, what repair (if any) it needs, and a firm number. No scare tactics and no pressure, plenty of inspections end with us telling you the cracks are cosmetic and to watch them.
This is where inspections earn their keep. Buyers: a general home inspector will note a crack and recommend a specialist, we are that step, and the written finding tells you what you are really buying and what leverage you have. Sellers: getting ahead of it with a documented repair and transferable warranty keeps the deal alive, undisclosed foundation questions are what kill closings in this market. Our crack guide shows how to read what you are seeing, and our insurance guide covers when coverage applies.
Free inspection, written finding, firm number.
